Job title: Stud Hand
Based at: Newmarket
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week. any 5 days from 7. We have part time roles available also
Stud Hand
The National Stud is looking for a Stud Hand to join the team for the 2023 Breeding season.
This role includes all aspects of horse care and yard work including but not limited to -
Feeding and checking horses
Mucking out stables
Paddock maintenance
General stud maintenance
Assisting the vet
Assisting the farrier
Assisting with day to day care of mares & foals & yearlings
Assisting with the team in covering shed
On site self-catered accommodation can be provided if required.
Competitive salary offered dependent on experience.
The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends to support racing when necessary.
